Unemployment is falling across the globe with the UK alone bucking the trend. However, economists note there is no cause for concern. Andrew Clare, Legal & General economist and professor of finance at Cass Business School, says that growth in UK public sector employment has declined and it is difficult to see this sector expanding in the near future. “The trend is not as positive here as it is elsewhere, though unemployment remains very low.
