Asia Pacific equity markets have not been immune to the recent volatility seen within global equity markets, and there are still performance differentials between the various individual markets. For example, as measured by the relevant MSCI indices, the Indian equity market has risen close to 28% over the past six months, the Chinese equity market has risen over 20% in the same period, but the Australian equity market has risen just a little over 3%.
