1 Blackstone Group Private equity has fallen out of favour during the crisis as asset values fell and liquidity become a serious issue for the sector. However, Fourie described this stock as “beta play on the market”, as the return of economic health should mean better fortunes for private equity houses. “The business is trading on a P/E of 11x. It is still growing its assets, and those assets are growing in value.
