Global economic activity continues to recover although there is evidence the initial phase of the recovery is drawing to a close.
The anaemic nature of the recovery in the developed world remains apparent and we anticipate global growth will continue to face increased headwinds in 2011 as stimulus policy is withdrawn. Against this background, growth in the emerging economies is expected to be much stronger as they are not suffering from the structural overhang of deleveraging that will be a drag on growth in the developed world.
