As market leaders in socially responsible sector reach milestone anniversaries, questions are raised over whether the field needs modernising
With a number of ethical funds recently celebrating milestone anniversaries, questions have been raised as to whether this relatively new investment field needs updating for the modern investor. Vehicles celebrating their anniversaries include F&C's Stewardship Growth, which has reached its quarter-century milestone and Aegon's Ethical Equity fund, which has been running for 20 years. Stewardship Growth has returned -27.6% against a sector average of -24.8% over one year to 1 June, according to Morningstar.
