While low positions in resources have left many well behind the sector's best performers, all funds are now showing positive three-year numbers
While the laggards of the UK All Companies sector managed to produce a three-year cumulative return of at least 16.86% to the end of August, this performance was a far cry from Unicorn Free Spirit's table-topping growth of 131.41% during the same period. These bid to bid figures, supplied by Standard & Poor's, compare with the sector mean return of 45.63%. Of the bottom 10 funds in the 259-strong sector over three years, the best performer was F&C's institutional portfolio, UK Ethical, which made a return of 29.08%.
