Amundi appoints former SSGA value CIO as equity investment platform chief

Amundi has appointed Barry Glavin, the former fundamental value equities CIO for State Street Global Advisors, to lead its equity investment platform business.

Glavin joins the French asset management giant after more than 16 years at SSGA, having joined the firm in 2006 as head of research for fundamental equities. He was promoted to the CIO role in 2013, a post he held until his departure in May last year. Amundi to acquire private markets specialist Alpha Associates Prior to SSGA, he worked for HSBC Global Asset Management and was based in Paris.
