Head of UK wealth Doug Abbott exits Schroders for Vanguard after 15 years

Doug Abbott, head of UK Wealth at Schroders, is set to depart the firm after 15 years, having joined the asset manager as a graduate trainee in 2008, Investment Week can reveal.

Abbott, who took on his new role as head of UK wealth, UK client group, last September, held a variety of roles during his time with Schroders, including country head, South Africa, and head of UK intermediary. While his new role is not yet known, Investment Week understands Abbott's onward destination is Vanguard. In the interim period, Abbott's responsibilities will be assumed by James Rainbow, Schroders UK head.
