Aviva group CEO Amanda Blanc has been awarded a damehood and AJ Bell co-founder Andrew Bell has been made a CBE in the King’s New Year Honours List.

Blanc, group CEO of Aviva, has been named Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to business, gender equality and net zero. She joined Aviva in January 2020 as a non-executive director and chair of the governance committee from Zurich, where she was EMEA CEO. Blanc was then promoted to group CEO of the insurance giant in July 2020.
