City of London IM CIO Dwyer to retire after 20 years at the firm

City of London Investment Management chief investment officer Mark Dwyer and head of the firm’s Emerging Market Closed-End Fund (EM CEF) strategy is set to retire in June 2024.

In a stock exchange notice, CEO Tom Griffith said senior portfolio manager Oliver Marschner will assume responsibility for the EM CEF strategy from 1 January 2024.  "Mark has been with the firm for over 20 years having served as the head of EM CEF strategy," Griffith said. "We wish him the very best in his retirement."  James de Uphaugh to retire after 36-year career Marschner, who returned to CLIM's London office five years ago and previously worked at the firm's Singapore and Seattle offices, will continue to work closely with portfolio managers Chris Weaver and Jeff Gill.  Gr...
