AVI calls for appointment of new director to Third Point board

Asset Value Investors continued its campaign against Third Point Investors on Tuesday (18 January) as it called for shareholders to vote in favour of its resolution that would see Richard Boléat appointed to the Third Point board.

In December last year, AVI vowed to continue a dispute with Third Point having lost the vote to oust Josh Targoff from the board. AVI has now continued the dispute this year alongside three other shareholders including Metage Funds Limited and Global Value Limited - which represent a combined total of over 18% of Third Point's ordinary shares. AVI vows to continue Third Point dispute in 'private' after losing vote Together, the rebel shareholders have requisitioned the board of TPIL requiring it to convene at an extraordinary general meeting where a vote will be put to shareholders...
