ETF industry set for blockbuster year - reports

Flows into ETFs are already on track to outpace a record 2020, according to figures from ETFGI.

The Financial Times has reported that flows in the first six months of this year are at $659bn compared to $767bn for all of last year. Global equity based ETFs have proven especially popular at 70% of flows so far this year compared to 48% for all of last year. In fact, net flows in 2021 have already overtaken last year's, with $459bn as of 30 June this year compared to $366bn last year.
