Six investment trusts have increased their dividends for 50 or more consecutive years, with a total of 19 qualifying as an Association of Investment Companies (AIC) dividend hero.

Despite 2020 marking a year in which UK dividends fell 41% in response to the pandemic, City of London, Bankers and Alliance Trust all achieved their 54th consecutive increase, with Caledonia Investments following close behind at 53 years, and BMO Global Smaller Companies and F&C Investment Trust each reaching their half century.
