GAM hires D'Alesio as head of alts research

GAM Investments has hired Giovanni D'Alesio as head of research for alternative investment solutions.

D'Alesio will lead GAM's external fund manager research team, and manage portfolios that combine external managers and other investment exposures, such as betas, factors and alternative risk premia. Swiss regulator moves to sanction GAM over 'potentially material misstatement' in Cantab liabilities D'Alesio joins from Capital Generation Partners, where he was partner and head of investment origination.
