Premier to launch new range of multi-asset funds headed by HSBC GAM's Nutland
New head of managed index solutions
Premier Asset Management will create a new range of multi-asset funds and has appointed Wayne Nutland as head of managed index solutions.
Nutland joins Premier after 19 years at HSBC Global Asset Management and will take on the newly created role with responsibility for developing and managing the new portfolios.
The firm said the new range of funds will offer active asset allocation and investment selection with an underlying multi-asset portfolio of index-based allocations.
Neil Birrell, CIO at Premier, said the company had been developing the concept "for some time", with Nutland adding that "there is strong demand for diversified, multi-asset investment products".

Birrell continued: "Investors are looking for wide asset class exposure combined with a focus on specific outcomes and value delivered, but have different preferences in terms of investment styles."
"We believe that Wayne's experience makes him a great choice to develop this component of our multi-asset range."
Nutland will join Premier in October, having previously worked as senior fund manager and head of discretionary in HSBC GAM's UK multi-asset team.
The suite of funds will become Premier's third multi-asset portfolio range and sit alongside David Hambidge's multi-manager team and Birrell's diversified portfolios team.
Premier said details of the new products will be announced in due course.
