Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has added two models to its managed portfolio service, targeting more risk-averse investors.
The Cautious Higher Equity and Income Higher Equity portfolios will be added to the Brewin Dolphin active and passive plus ranges. Its MPS now has seven model portfolios and manages more than £3.5bn of advisers' clients' money.
Antony Champion, head of intermediaries at Brewin Dolphin, said: "We believe the two new models in MPS will give advisers' clients greater investment choice and will cater for those who are more risk averse or are looking for more protection for their capital. As always, we will continue to evolve the service to further support advisers.
"We aim to support the adviser community, as a result, we received feedback that further choice at the lower end of the risk spectrum was required. We're grateful to the adviser community for their continued support; some of whom have supported MPS for over a decade and who continue to benefit from the service's strong investment performance, transparency and value."
The wealth management firm has also launched the ‘MyBrewin app", which is available on iPhone, Apple Watch and Android-based devices.
MyBewin app, which is an extension of the current online client portal of the same name, provides instand access to current portfolio, asset allocation and performance information.
It has all the core features of the MyBrewin portal, plus some features specific to mobile apps such as facial and thumbprint recognition. The technology was provided by Objectway UK.
Grant Parkinson, chief operating officer at Brewin Dolphin said, "How clients wish to access information is changing and we have developed our client app in response to this. We are strategically committed to technology innovation and offering clients a superior user experience, enabling them to access their portfolios where they want and how they want."
