Not repeating historical mistakes should be a cornerstone of any government's policy.

One can be forgiven if the mistake is an ancient history and parallels are hard to draw. But how European politicians have jumped into another Union, not even a decade after the collapse of the infamous Soviet peer, remains a mystery. Did they arrogantly assume capitalism is a miracle substance that can turn an “unworkable” concept into an economic and political superpower? We will never know.
