Lawrence Gosling, former editorial director, Investment Week. Editor I read with interest your leader, dated 16 May, on the appointment of David Blunkett as pensions minister, which clearly misses the point. It is because Blunkett has been named as pensions minister that the current Prime Minister and Government have no intention of tackling the pensions issues - is it really a crisis? (I think not).
