It's that time of the year when the investment pundits are invited out to make their predictions for the year. Because we seem to treat investment the same way we treat football these days, there are still fund managers brave enough to put their necks on the line and guess where the FTSE might finish in 2008, or even have a go at guessing the price of gold or oil.
