Few people would have predicted the eurozone would grow faster than the US and newly re-energised Japan at some point this year. Yet that's what happened. High taxes and stifling regulations notwithstanding, the 12 nations sharing the euro have shown signs of economic life in recent months. So is it just a cyclical upswing after a long period of low growth? Or is it a sign that the attempts at change over the past few years are finally starting to bear fruit?
