It's getting interesting at last - it's either £3.6bn of inheritance tax or £4bn of stamp duty. The interesting bit is that the two main parties have fired their open salvos in the bids to get the hearts and minds of the public when it comes to their purses. The Government has tested the water with the suggestion of abolishing inheritance tax. Of course the route by which it came out was an obscure one.
