Eating may soon become a much more interesting, or hazardous, experience. The days when you could spend the morning munching on crisps at your desk, pop out at lunchtime for a triple-sized burger complete with chips and a milkshake, take time out for a few chocolate bars in the afternoon, before feasting on a thick-crust, two-foot pizza in the evening, are fading into the past.
