The word 'ethics' is one now being applied to business in a way that it wasn't five years ago. Then, the word related to a company's environmental stance, or its links with the arms or tobacco industries. The ethical, or more importantly, the unethical elements, were generally issues on which a majority of people were agreed were not acceptable practices. As far as the financial services ethics goes, it hasn't extended much further than ethical investment funds.
