I'm confused about TCF. As most readers will have seen from Investment Week's front page last week, the FSA is facing a bit of a dust-up with a couple of product providers over the regime. It's an interesting scenario because it's impossible to 'sue' the regulator, if you reduce this dust-up to its simplest. But the companies concerned are a little cheesed off with the tone of letters from the FSA inspectors about their current TCF practices. I'm sure many product providers feel this sabre rattling in the letters is just the precursor to a large public fine, if not for these groups ...
