Despite a recent all-time high from the Dow Jones index, UK investors appear to have little interest in the world's largest economy and stock market. According to figures from the IMA, sales of North American funds accounted for just 0.63% of total gross Isa sales in April, taking in just £5m. Five years ago, the sector accounted for 4.3% of sales, with monthly contributions totalling £44m.
