Michael Both Dear Editor, As an IFA of over 15 years standing, I must bring to your attention that I found Lawrence Gosling's Grouse in the 13 March issue utterly offensive. He may have had personal issues with his IFA but the way he damned and devalued the entire sector was utterly irresponsible. If he believes what he wrote, that any life office salesman can pick the right pension or investment fund, he clearly does not have a clear grasp of what independent financial advice is about and in my opinion should have no place working for your journal.
