This is a simple enough question I was pondering recently - who benefits from the banks being so poor? You don't need an MBA to be puzzled by this. The banks are among the best-known companies and brands in the UK. They are financially as strong as governments, have a higher debt rating than many countries and despite our grumblings about them, we find it hard to change our loyalties.
