With the VCT market's record period last year coinciding with its increased tax break, most groups launching into the sector were keen to stress their products also had a strong investment case. It is slightly concerning now then, that, with the tax break falling from 40% to 30% for tax this year, experts are predicting a major decline in VCT business.
