Terence P O'Halloran BSc FCII MSFA FLIA [dip] Chartered Insurance Practitioner Sir, Having read clips of the chairman of the Treasury Select Committee's statements made to Paul Smee, Aifa director general, the words 'pot', 'kettle' and 'black' come to mind. As members of parliament, whatever their politics, it seems the Government always has strict limits to the compensation available to those who suffer at the hands of bungling bureaucrats (compensation is never paid out of the bureaucrats' pocket).
