Trawling the internet can be a dangerous pastime these days - given some of the hardcore stuff that's out there. So I'll come clean straight away - I visited the Institute of Actuaries website last week, purely in the course of research. What possessed me to go there? As I was enjoying the pleasures of Virgin Trains (delays) I found a copy of the Daily Telegraph business section lying around, so I flicked through the pages and came across an article under the headline '"Turner missed a trick," say actuaries'.
