Charles Stanley hires group head of distribution

Charles Stanley has appointed John Porteous to the newly-created role of group head of distribution. 

Report to CEO Paul Abberley, Porteous will be responsible for developing Charles Stanley's distribution strategy for services and products to boost the firm's market presence and flows into the business. He will also join the firm's executive committee. Porteous, who has spent more than 25 years in financial services and has held a number of senior roles in the financial planning and wealth management sector, joins from Quilter (formerly Old Mutual Wealth) where he had been retail customer solutions director since September 2017.
