BMO GAM hires Wells Fargo's Mitchem as CEO to replace retiring Wilson

BMO Global Asset Management has appointed Kristi Mitchem as chief executive, replacing Richard Wilson, who is retiring after 15 years with the firm.

Effective 18 March, Mitchem will report to Joanna Rotenberg, global head of BMO Wealth Management. She joins from Wells Fargo where she spent three years as CEO and head of Wells Fargo Asset Management. Prior to this, she was at State Street Global Advisors for six years, as head of global defined contribution and head of the Americas institutional client group. Mitchem has also held senior roles at BlackRock, Barclays Global Investors and Goldman Sachs.
