Martin Currie has re-hired Paul Sloane as portfolio manager following the departure of global emerging markets (GEM) manager Andrew Ness.

Ness spent eight years at the firm and was responsible for financial sector research and managing the GEM strategy. He will be replaced by Paul Sloane, who is re-joining the firm on 13 August and will take over coverage of the financials sector. Sloane spent 14 years at Martin Currie, most recently as co-manager of the firm's global alpha strategy, departing in May 2017.
