SQN Asset Management has appointed Nicola Bird as relationship manager, where she will be supporting the group's £50m Secured Income fund.
Bird will be focusing on loan origination, platform business research and relationship management to source the best opportunities for the closed-ended fund which aims to produce regular income.
She joins SQN from M&G Investments, where she spent 15 years in various roles in client relationship management and sales support.
Dawn Kendall, managing director and fund manager of SQN Asset Management, said: "We are delighted to be welcome Nicola to SQN as we seek to develop our increasingly strong team.
"Nicola will be instrumental in developing the loan fund business of SQN Asset Management as we grow our capabilities and scale of the SQN Secured Income fund."
Bird added: "After a long and happy tenure at my former firm, I am looking forward to broadening the scope of my role and the new challenge of working with the team at SQN during an exciting time for the company."
