Baillie Gifford US Growth manager leaves in shadow of first trust launch for decades

Andrei Kiselev also ran £1.5bn American fund

Baillie Gifford's Andrei Kiselev has left the firm shortly after the launch of the Baillie Gifford US Growth trust, the firm's first new trust since 1985.

Kiselev, who has been with the firm for a decade, was a deputy manager on the £213m Baillie Gifford US Growth trust - which began trading 23 May - alongside lead manager Gary Robinson and Helen Xiong. He also manage the £1.5bn Baillie Gifford American fund alongside Robinson, Xiong, Tom Slater and Kirsty Gibson. The four remaining managers will continue to run the strategy.
