Chelverton to launch European fund

New fund takes value approach

Chelverton is expanding its fund range with the launch of a European fund, to be run by new managers Dale Robertson and Gareth Rudd.

The Chelverton European Select fund, which has received FCA approval and is set to launch on 6 March, will invest in European ex-UK stocks across the market spectrum value with an unconstrained approach. The managers - who dub themselves ‘modern value investors' -  will use a four-stage, cashflow-based valuation process to identify potential investments and build a portfolio of between 30 and 50 holdings. To make the cut, companies must be cash generative and trading at a significant discount. There are currently 42 holdings in the model portfolio, with a bias to small caps. AIC's Say...
