Harpsden Wealth Management and Premier Asset Management emerged as multiple winners at the 2018 Professional Adviser Awards, while 12 firms made the grade in this year's 'Best Financial Advisers To Work For' survey.
Henley-on-Thames-based Harpsden won the prestigious Adviser Firm of the Year - UK award in addition to its regional category, Adviser Firm of the Year - South East.
Premier meanwhile picked up half of the evening's multi-asset awards - for best funds in the Rising Income and Positive Return categories as well as being adjudged Multi-Asset Fund Group of the Year.
In total, the services and products of some 200 advisers and other businesses were under consideration for the 2018 Professional Adviser Awards, which are now in their 13th year and seek to reward excellence within both the financial advice community and among the broader financial services sector.
Professional Adviser editor Julian Marr said: "Last September, we called on UK advisory businesses to showcase their knowledge, skills and commitment to client care by entering our awards.
"We are delighted so many firms again responded - clearly taking a lot of time and care to address both the issues in the case study, kindly created for us this year by Dentons Pension Management, and our own probing questions on their businesses' numbers and risk management processes.
"They gave Professional Adviser's panel of expert judges a tough enough time picking our eight regional Adviser Firms of the Year - let alone the ultimate winner.
"All those firms fully deserve all their awards - as of course does everyone else honoured this year, including our Paraplanner of the Year Martin Jarvis, the platforms, support services, investment specialists and other groups who strive to make advisers' lives run a little more smoothly and the 12 firms who have made the grade in PA's second annual 'Best Financial Advisers To Work For' survey."
Chaired by Marr, the judging panel also included Bella Caridade-Ferreira (CEO, Fundscape), Matthew Connell (director of policy and engagement, CISI), Patrick Connolly (certified financial planner, Chase de Vere), Dennis Hall (CEO, Yellowtail Financial Planning), Cathi Harrison (Founder, Para-Sols), Richard Hoskins (co-founder, Kin Capital), Andy Kirby (director, Adviser Home), Brendan Llewellyn (owner, Marketing Edge), Rory Percival (principal, Rory Percival Training and Consultancy), Mark Polson (founder, the lang cat), Roderic Rennison (director, Rennison Consulting), Lee Robertson (chief executive, Investment Quorum) and Clive Waller (managing director, CWC Research).
The panel for the multi-asset awards meanwhile included lead judge Paul Ilott (managing director, Scopic Research) as well as Pan Andreas (head of insight and consulting, Defaqto), Rory Maguire (managing director, Fundhouse), Richard Romer-Lee (managing director, Square Mile), Stewart Smith (investment research manager, RSMR) and Tony Yousefian (consultant, FundCalibre)
"Many thanks to all the judges for the hard work they have again put in this year," said Marr. "And many congratulations to all this year's winners while, to everyone who entered the Professional Adviser Awards but were not placed this time, thank you so much for your time and effort and please do try again this autumn."
Many congratulations to all this year's winners from everyone at Professional Adviser.
