GAM has added to its absolute return fixed income team with the appointment of Owen Job, who joined this week from Soros Fund Management.
Job will be an investment manager within the absolute return fixed income team, focusing on macro themes.
He has 12 years' investment experience.
Tim Haywood, investment director and head of fixed income, said: "Owen joins with considerable macro strategy experience spanning more than a decade - he will further strengthen our proposition regarding theme generation and positioning across asset classes.

There are now 19 members in GAM's fixed income team based in London and New York, managing $11bn in assets as at 30 September 2017.
