Natixis AM brings consumer equities fund to UK market

Natixis Asset Management has launched a consumer equities fund, Natixis Food & Consumer Equities, for a broader investor base after running the vehicle in France for nearly 30 years.

Aiming to outperform the MSCI Europe index over five years, the fund will gain exposure to traditional defensive stocks consisting of European and international food and consumer companies. The strategy will look to capture the trend of improved consumer spending in emerging markets as a result of the growth in middle class.  Natixis appoints former Goldmans man as head of asset management The vehicle is managed by Francoise Lafitte, portfolio manager at Natixis AM and the strategy will be available outside of France for the first time.
