Schroders has appointed Daniel Imhof from UBS Wealth Management in the newly created role of head of global sales.
Imhof spent 25 years at UBS Wealth Management, including roles such as global head of portfolio specialists where he was responsible for the distribution of investment solutions and investment funds and head of product development and management.
In this newly created role, he will be responsible for evolving the firm's global sales structure to meet its clients' needs and broadening product suite.
He will be based in London and will report to John Troiano, global head of distribution.
Troiano said: "Our clients' needs are changing significantly. The creation of this new role reflects our broadening product suite and the requirement for our sales people to possess specialist knowledge across all asset classes.
"Daniel brings with him a wealth of experience and we look forward to welcoming someone of his calibre to the company."
Imhof added: "Over the years I have worked closely with Schroders and witnessed first hand the quality of the people and investment capabilities across all asset classes.
"I look forward to working with the sales and product teams to develop the global distribution business further."
