Ex-IA CEO Sears joins Marlborough board

Marlborough has hired Guy Sears, former interim CEO of the Investment Association, as non-executive director of two of its companies, Marlborough Fund Managers and IFSL.

Sears was interim CEO of the IA from October 2015 to September 2016, having  previously held a number of roles within the organisation, including director of wholesale and director of risk, compliance and legal. In his new role, he will be responsible for strengthening the independence voice of the two boards to ensure investors' interests are met by the firms.
