Ruffer names Vaughan as CEO; Maxey to focus on CIO role

Ruffer has appointed Clemmie Vaughan as chief executive, effective from 1 April, taking over from current CEO Henry Maxey.

Maxey, who has been joint CEO and chief investment officer for the last five years, will remain in his role as CIO at the company.  Vaughan has worked at Ruffer for 12 years, and is currently head of Ruffer's private client department and a member of the executive committee and management board.  Maxey will continue to lead Ruffer's investment process as CIO, while Jonathan Ruffer remains as executive chairman and will continue to work closely with Vaughan while sharing the responsibility for asset allocation with the CIO.
