Update: Amundi completes 87.5% acquisition in Kleinwort Benson Investors

Rebranding as KBI Global Investors

Amundi is now the majority owner of Kleinwort Benson Investors(KBI) after successfully acquiring an 87.5% stake from Franco-German financial services group Oddo & Sie.

The firm will now be known as KBI Global Investors and be based in Dublin. Amundi said KBI Global Investors' expertise in global equities would significantly strengthen Amundi's equity management offering; in return, KBI Global Investors would leverage Amundi's strong retail and institutional presence in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The acquisition will see the management team of KBI acquire the remaining 12.5% stake in the company. KBI is a subsidiary of BHF Kleinwort Benson Group, which was recently acquired by the Oddo Group.
