WisdomTree Europe co-CEOs step down as US parent completes buyout

McNeil and Bienkowski step down

Hector McNeil and Nik Bienkowski, co-CEOs of WisdomTree Europe, are stepping down from their roles, as the US parent company accelerates the buyout of its minority stake in the European entity.

The CEO role of the European branch will be taken over by David Abner, who has been at the firm for eight years and is currently head of capital markets. He will relocate to London in August to take on the new role. Jonathan Steinberg, WisdomTree president and CEO, said: "We wish Hector and Nik continued success as they pursue new entrepreneurial initiatives, and we are extremely pleased to announce that David Abner will replace Hector and Nik to lead WisdomTree's European business in connection with the completion of the buyout.
