Jupiter's Whitmore gains assistant manager on value strategies

Including £1.2bn Special Sits fund

Jupiter has appointed Dermot Murphy as assistant fund manager to Ben Whitmore to support him in running his UK value-orientated strategies.

Murphy has worked as an equities analyst on the £1.2bn Jupiter UK Special Situations fund and the £1.8bn Jupiter Income Trust for two years, having joined Jupiter from Fidelity. In his new role, he will support Whitmore (pictured) with portfolio construction and client communication as well as continuing to analyse stocks for the portfolios he manages, which include the Income Trust and the UK Special Situations fund, as well as a number of segregated mandates.
