RLAM hires HSBC GAM's Reid for head of wholesale role

Royal London Asset Management has hired Phil Reid from HSBC Global Asset Management as its new head of wholesale.

Reid (pictured), who was most recently head of UK wholesale at HSBC GAM, will fill the role following the exit of Ian Goulsbra in August last year. Goulsbra left to become senior sales director at Canada Life Investments. At the time, RLAM said they would be looking to hire a new head of wholesale. Reid has spent nine years at HSBC after joining in 2007 as head of private bank distribution. He has also previously worked at Close Brothers as sales director from 2003 until 2006.
