Old Mutual Wealth and Intrinsic to launch national advice business

Headed by former Sanlam director Speirs

Adviser network Intrinsic and its parent company Old Mutual Wealth are to launch a national advice business, under the leadership of Nigel Speirs.

The new venture will be called Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers and will be an appointed representative of Intrinsic. Nigel Speirs, former Sanlam UK distribution director, will be managing director.  The group plans to open ten regional offices in the next five years and employ 250 advisers, as well as support staff. It will also leverage the investment capability of Quilter Cheviot and Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) to offer advice and investment management solutions to clients.
