Fulcrum hires ex-Carmignac sales head Wright

Discretionary investment firm Fulcrum has hired former Carmignac and LVAM retail sales head Matthew Wright as a director in its sales and marketing team.

Wright will work with Fulcrum partner and head of UK wealth management Jeremy Bedford to raise the profile of the group, which had £2.4bn in AUM as of last month. He joins from NewSmith Asset Management, where he was a partner, having left French group Carmignac for the boutique in 2013. Previous roles include stints at LV= Asset Management, UBS Global Asset Management and Fidelity. Bedford said: "Matt's experience in the wholesale market will prove invaluable to Fulcrum as we continue to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the expansion of this rapidly growing area of our business....
