Lazard hires ex-Henderson man to run long/short strategy

Lazard has hired former Henderson manager Léopold Arminjon to run a new European equities strategy.

Arminjon was a portfolio manager within Henderson's European team and ran the Pan European Alpha fund alongside John Bennett. He also worked on the Alphagen Tucana fund. At Lazard, Arminjon will be responsible for a new European long/short equity strategy, to be launched later this year. He will join the firm as a portfolio manager and analyst. The manager was previously a senior analyst at Gartmore, where he helped run long-only and long/short funds.
