Canaccord's Mitchell joins Smith & Williamson for DFM push

Canaccord Genuity's Lucy Mitchell has joined Smith & Williamson as an associate director tasked with developing its discretionary proposition.

Mitchell was business development manager at Canaccord for the last four years, where she was responsible for developing their IFA solutions, including model portfolios and a multi-strategy fund. Prior to that she was a client portfolio manager at SCDavies & Co. Smith & Williamson has been developing its managed portfolio service (MPS) and discretionary fund management businesses in recent years, utilising the resources of its established private bank and wealth management arms.
